Uithoek Farm - Elands Bay
This is farm is all about the barefoot luxury of enjoying outdoor showers, being cut off from the real world and epic starry nights in the hot tub. A beautifully restored, Weskus Langhuis on a quiet holiday farm on the banks of Velorenvlei. 2hrs from Cape Town and 12km away from Elands Bay surf break. There are three cottages available sleeping up to 16 people so it is perfect for larger groups and epic surf getaways.
This spot has managed to retain the tranquil atmosphere of natural living. Electricity has been installed in the kitchen only for your convenience but we decided to keep the lighting as it was 100 years ago. The quality of soft candle and lamplight combined with the ambient lighting form the fireplace provides ample soft light for the evenings.
There is little to no cell phone reception on the Farm itself, wifi is available but only in the small cottage
Kindly note that bedding is provided but we ask that you bring your own towels.
A torch is a must too for the venturing outdoors at night.
The bathrooms are not en-suite and there are inter-leading doors between some of the rooms.
Dogs are welcome. Please do note that there are other animals who live here, so if your pet needs a bit of encouragement not to eat the locals, please bring a leash to curb his/her enthusiasm.
